about

A new split of thrashing, grinding Death Metal madness from Me Saco Un Ojo Records landed this month, featuring AXESLAUGHTER and SONIC POISON!

Axeslaughter set off with a rampage of malignant Death Metal that is abrupt, abrasive and chaotic with a filthy twist of hammering drums and snarling vocals that are sucked into a chasm of whirling riffs and chunky bass lines. That is certainly some punishing material and the frenzied assault may be rather short but they have a visceral effect that will certainly shake even the most seasoned Death Metallers. A hideously noisy slab of gristle that will ravage you with total malevolence.

Sonic Poison open with a noisy blend of thrashing Death Metal brilliance that maintains a consistently aggressive, pounding might that makes for a more typically classic listen though works excellently in contrast with the vibrant sound violations provided by the Axeslaughter side. An unholy blend of fast riffs, savage drums and maniacal vocals that hits hard, fast and is gone before you know what happened, brilliant. This side may have dialled by the twisted and disturbing side of things just a touch but the catchiness and groove has been ramped up for some killer Extreme Metal the old school way.

A killer split with some fantastic examples of diversity and unique sounds in the Death Metal underground that while completely different, work together really well. Neither band is just meat and potatoes Death Metal, this is inhuman, noisy evil material that is definitely worth feeding your nightmares with
